The course will examine antitrust cases arising in high-technology markets, and will focus on the intersection of antitrust and intellectual property. The course will cover such issues as: exclusionary practices involving IP, the Microsoft antitrust cases; IP as an "essential facility"; antitrust issues arising from standard-setting; mergers in hhigh-tech markets, and antitrust issues arising from settlements of patent litigation.
